INTRODUCTION:

This is a 12-month qualification, is designed to enable learners to bring together food elements and the management of food and people.

This qualification has been developed for professionals in the food preparation industry. It brings together holistic elements of food preparation.

DESCRIPTION:

It is designed as an entry level to becoming a recognised Junior chef involved in food preparation, understanding menu planning, food costing and the dynamics of the industry.

DESCRIPTION OF INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGY:

Delivery methods will include Lecturing, case studies, practical’s, simulations in class, facilitation, and workplace practical.

DESCRIPTION OF LEARNING STRATEGY:

Student activities will include Group work, pair work, individual work, self-study, and research, practical.

REQUIREMENTS:

Commitment to complete and graduate from the programme, successfully complete a pre-assessment covering English language.

Certified ID Copy (not older than 3 months), matric certificate, cv, proof of residence

Must be an RSA resident.
