AVAILABLE POSITION:
Fleet Controller
Duties & Responsibilities
- Dispatch loads to clients ( Manage 200 loads per day)
- Schedule trucks with workshop and dispatch for maintenance
- Test trucks after maintenance has been done.
- Do over inspections on trucks after work has been done.
- Manage drivers ( Timesheets, Perfomance Absenteeism )
- Move drivers between trucks, scheduling of drivers
- Truck cleanness
- Monitor driver PDP – Driver not allowed on a truck if he has an expired PDP.
- Liaise with workshop with regards to:
- Truck in workshop because of breakdown – when truck should be out.
- Truck in workshop because of service – when truck should be out.
- Have a general idea of what is going on in the workshop with regard to trucks at any given time.
- Truck decal and cleanliness inspection: Weekly inspections of truck decals and cleanliness. Report to the workshop if not to standard.
- Daily and Monthly reports to be sent to Management
- Diesel vs Sales – Daily
- Ensure drivers understand company policies and procedures
- Ensure drivers receive on-boarding training
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Code 14 will be an advantage
- Diesel Mechnic qualification will be an advantage
- Proven track record of fleet management
- Knowledge of workshop maintenance
- Working hours will be form 06:30am-17:00pm
- Computer literate
- Good Communication skills
- Stong person who can take own initiative.
