The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and controlling flake quality/properties.
• Monitoring and controlling timber and chemical usage against standards.
• Monitoring and controlling board properties against standards.
• Analysing deviations, taking corrective action follow up and report all serious problems.
• Ensuring that production schedules are adhered to.
• Monitoring and analysing production reports on a daily basis.
• Ensure the operation of machines within operational specifications by:
• Physically checking optimal operating speeds, thickness, and size tolerances, & machine feed speeds
• Communicating machine specifications to teams
• Initiating corrective actions where necessary

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Grade 12

Experience:

• 2 years’ supervisory experience in manufacturing and technical environment
• 5 years board making experience .

Skills, Knowledge, and Qualities :

• Knowledge of process control, task orientated, organizer and controller.
• Be able to work in a team-based environment.
• Excellent communication skills and self-driven .
