Location: Durban (ERO Office)
Purpose of Job:
Assist the Sourcing Manager and team to achieve lowest total cost ownership (TCO), while improving service and quality for the purchased commodities within the Lubricants Division.
What You’ll Have Done Before:
Minimum
- NQF Level 5 (Higher Certificate in Revelant Field)
- Relevant experience/exposure in raw material procurement
- Experience in Supplier/Contractor Management experience including Tender Adjudication
- Above average computer skills (word, excel, outlook)
- Basic knowledge of imports/export processes
- Must Have potential Short Term to fill in for Import/Export Coordinator when needed
Advantageous:
- BCom or BTech Degree
- 4 years in procurement
- 3 years contractor management in Lubes Environment
What You’ll Be Doing:
Implementing Procurement Strategy
- Provides detailed procurement and sourcing reports aligned to the sourcing and contracts year plan
- Conduct occasional plant, DC & Supplier visits
Procurement Process
- Prepares RFTs, RFP’s , solicits tenders and quotes and assists in the adjudication process
- Assists in the Commercial adjudication of tenders
- Places purchase orders in SAP
Sourcing Optimization
- Monitors and reports on compliance to LOA’s and Procurement processes
- Administers the procurement data base and KPIs
- Reports on the number of stock outs and quality non-conformances.
- Updates SAP contracts, pricing, source lists and info records
- Provides feedback to suppliers in respect of purchase orders and/or payment queries
Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Develops internal and external stakeholder networks
- Maintains good working relationship with support functions and suppliers
- Develops and distributes reports as required by internal customers and management
