The primary purpose of a MAM agent is to maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and tidy environment for residential or office occupants. This role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are met through regular cleaning activities, adherence to health and safety guidelines, and attention to detail. The MAM Agent is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks as outlined below and replenishing supplies to create a welcoming and orderly atmosphere. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall appeal and functionality of the space, contributing to the well-being and satisfaction of our customers.

Execute housekeeping and sanitation duties:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas
  • Handle proper disposal of waste materials
  • Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in restrooms, bathrooms, and various premises, encompassing tasks such as washing, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and sweeping as needed
  • Clean kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies, as well as tea and meal utensils
  • Ensure the safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency of cleaning equipment
  • Promptly report any equipment in need of repair
  • Report shortages or malfunctions of machines/equipmen
  • Arrange and tidy the boardroom, including organising chairs, water, glasses, and other necessities.

Maintain security and upkeep:

  • Organise and store cleaning equipment and products in designated areas
  • Implement basic security measures, such as securing doors and windows
  • Monitor potential hazards related to fire and electricity in buildings/offices/residential areas
  • Perform simple maintenance repairs promptly, without the need for professional assistance
  • Comply with instructions regarding the use and storage of materials and equipment
  • Implement universal precautionary measures
  • Evaluate the hygiene status of buildings and identify existing or potential issue
  • Ensure strict adherence to Infection Control and Hygiene regulations.

Minimum appointment requirements:

  • NQF level 1 or 2 (Abet level 2 certificate or equivalent).

Experience:

  • No working experience is required
  • Previous cleaning / housekeeping experience is advantageous
